Happy Teacher’s Appreciation Week

I’ve tried so many things, but my real thing is to be a Teacher!
I’d never imagined I’d be living in another country and still be able to do what I graduated for. I’m a Bachelor in Languages with Masters in Translation, in Brazil. I still wouldn’t be allowed to teach children, unless I went back to school for another 2 or 4 years to be certified for it. Somehow, I was given a chance to start working in a Childcare and I grabbed this chance with a very grateful heart. Since then, I give my all to learn and improve every single day.
To be a Lead Teacher in the Toddler Room is one of the best things that happened to me and I’m so thankful to Alison @allimarieg for this opportunity. I love my students to pieces and they give me the strength to overcome anything!
If I think about it, I know it’s not somehow I was given a chance, it was meant to be. I’ve been working hard for a lifetime to be proficient in a second language. I never could explain why I was so keen about it, I just had to learn and I trusted the Universe my dreams would come true. I ended up getting way more than I ever dreamt and that only proves that hard work pays off. There’s still a lot to learn. There will always be a struggle, but I found my passion!
And when I finally got here, I’ve learned a sentence with my Pops that made me understand why everything happened to me.
“If it’s meant to be, it’s up to me!”
